IIT-Hyderabad ties up with C-DAC to arrange excessive efficiency computing centre | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad will collaborate with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to arrange a state-of-the-art facility beneath the National Supercomputing Mission for analysis and growth actions.
An MoU has been signed by the institute, to allow scientists and researchers to hold out cutting-edge analysis of their respective domains and make India one of many world leaders in Supercomputing, within the digital presence of Sanjay Dhotre, minister of state for training, communications, electronics & IT. “It is a great step in the direction of digital India, ‘Make in India’ and making Atmanibhar Bharat,” stated Dhotre.
BS Murty, director, IIT-H, stated that the aim of this High-Performance Computing Centre (HPC) is to resolve grand challenges and issues of nationwide significance to construct Atmanirbhar Bharat.
“IIT Hyderabad is a pioneer in the field of Artificial Intelligence. We are the first institute in the country to launch a B Tech programme in AI. With a strong base of close to 25 faculty in the department of AI, the institute is looking forward to such opportunities to come up with many more innovations and research achievements in the field,” stated Murty. He aded that the institute had additionally signed an MoU with the Telangana authorities, which declared 2020 because the 12 months of AI.
