Southeastern to host coding camps this summer season

Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Science and Technology is internet hosting a digital pc science camp this summer season for college students coming into eighth by means of 12th grades this fall.

The Lion’s Code Summer Coding Camp is free and open to college students with any stage of coding expertise.

Two separate classes can be found July 19-22 and July 26-29. Both classes are on-line and happen every day from 9 a.m. to three p.m.

Instructor of Computer Science and Camp Coordinator Bonnie Achee stated college students can be launched to cyber safety, cyber literacy, and python programming.

“Students will take part in a digital seize the flag and work collectively in groups as cyber-sleuths to unravel a cybercrime. They can have the chance to study profession alternatives in pc science and cyber safety, in addition to work with the Southeastern’s Career Services to start creating an expert resume.

Each camp session is proscribed to 100 college students on a primary come, first served foundation. Pre-registration opens on April 1.
